Details:
Australia now has its own version of the ancient astronomical observatory at Stonehenge in England. Located a few kilometres north-east of the remote Western Australian town of Esperance, this attraction is open to the public. The Australian version is a full-scale complete work in granite and recreates what it is thought Stonehenge looked like in 1950 BC. For more details see Esperance Stonehenge.
