Auspace Limited is an Australian Company based in Canberra, and wholly owned by EADS Astrium UK. They were involved in building the Australian FEDSAT satellite.

AUSTRALIAN SPACE SITES (PHYSICAL)

Woomera in the middle of South Australia, has been the focus of much Australian space activity in years past, and the current Woomera Test Facility still offers diverse test and evaluation capabilities that are used infrequently by Australian and international groups. For visitors it hosts the Woomera Heritage Centre and Missile Park. The word Woomera is aboriginal for 'throwing stick'.

The Canberra Deep Space Communications Complex at Tidbinbilla is one of three NASA Deep Space Network (DSN) sites for tracking interplanetary spacecraft missions. The other two are located in Spain and in California. The CDSCC is located in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) about 35 km south-west of Canberra, and hosts an excellent visitor's centre. It is the only site in Australia where you can see a piece of moon rock retrieved by Apollo astronauts.
