2020 : TRIBUTE TO BEN BOVA

Benjamin W Bova died on 29 November 2020 in Naples, Florida , USA at the age of 88.

Ben Bova was a prolific writer, producing more than 120 works of science fiction and fact. He was also president of the (US) National Space Society, and held many other prestigious positions.

Of all his fictional works we might single out the Grand Tour series about the exploration of the major bodies of the solar system. Dr Bova tried to base these on facts as realistic as possible, providing his readers with an underlying knowledge of our closest planetary neighbours. The titles of these works included Mars, Return to Mars, Moonwar, The Precipice, Farside, Jupiter, Saturn, Titan, Mars Life, Venus, Mercury, Uranus and Neptune.
